🎨 Brentwood Art Trail Comes to Shenfield This Saturday! 🖼️

We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s @bwdarttrail, bringing incredible local talent right to your doorstep! Join us this Saturday in Shenfield as we proudly host a unique exhibition by @thomasheddon, a local artist known for his playful and provocative miniature art.

🕥 Meet the Artist – 10:10 AM
Thomas will be at our store to give a talk about his work and creative process, as well as to chat with visitors. It’s a great chance to see his miniature worlds up close and hear the stories behind them.

From cheeky street scenes to tiny social commentary, his work is full of detail and humour – and best experienced in person!

Wine and art: the perfect pairing! 🍷 This year`s @brentwoodconnected @bwdarttrail starts today, and we`re delighted to be taking part yet again. 🎨

As well as The Connor Brothers` work being available to view in The Tasting Room @ttrshenfield, we`re also looking forward to showcasing the work of local artist @thomasheddon this year, whose beautiful miniature models will be on display here in the shop.

What`s more, this year, we`re delighted to have a Scribble Board Art Jam and Doodle Board event here on Saturday 7th June with artists Mike Young @family_scribbles and Heidi Simm @hideart.1 (pictured), in support of @snap_charity. Why not pop along with the little ones and treat the grown ups to something lovely in store whilst here? 😉🍷

Shenfield Wine Co. Cigar of the Week: Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales Cigar.

Fun fact: despite the name, the size of this wonderful cigar is neither a Corona or a Lonsdale. It is actually a Hermoso No.4, measuring 5” with a 48 ring gauge. With this cigar having joined the Rafael Gonzalez range, the heavier ring gauge allows the smoker to enjoy the nuances of flavours in this fantastic cigar.

And speaking of the nuances of flavour, the Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales Cigar features a spicy core of leather and cedar, with notes of coffee bean, earth and cinnamon. What`s more, you`ll fill the the room with a heady aroma.

What we`re drinking this week: Bedoba Saperavi. 🍷

There was a lot of love for Bedoba Saperavi when we were talking about some of our more unusual stock in recent weeks. Anyone that`s tried it seems to fall in love with it, and it`s certainly one of our favourites.

Bedoba Saperavi is unusual in that it’s a Georgian wine, and we know that many of our customers are often surprised to hear of Georgia as a wine producing region. With a spicy nose which features herbs, blackberries and just a hint of black pepper, it’s packed with black fruits on the palate, and the soft tannins and high acidy of the wine place this red somewhere between a Malbec and a Zinfandel.

Bedoba actually means “Day of Luck” and we certainly think it will be your lucky day if you give this wonderful wine a try!

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay is a mid-weight Chardonnay where the oak is integrated into the flavour of the wine. With aromas of citrus fruit, nectarines and citrus blossom and a palate of toasted nuts and spices, there is a delicacy to this wine which balances with its richness.
