An exceptional tour of Italian Wine
Every year, we host a very special ‘Showstopper’ tasting, the standout wine event in our calendar. This year, we’re taking things to the next level!
The Grand Italian Tour is a rare opportunity to experience some of Italy’s most prestigious wines, brought together for one exceptional evening. This is far more than a standard wine tasting; we’ll be opening a collection of rare, highly sought-after and genuinely top-end Italian wines, from some of the country’s most celebrated estates and regions.
Expect to travel from the Alpine vineyards of Alto Adige through Piedmont, Tuscany and Bolgheri to Veneto, discovering the extraordinary diversity of Italian wine along the way. With wines such as Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri Superiore and Amarone on the table, this is an opportunity to taste bottles of real distinction that you would rarely have the chance to experience side by side.
The evening will be hosted by Stefan Neumann, one of the world’s most highly qualified wine professionals. Born and raised in Austria, Stefan has spent more than 20 years in the wine trade across Europe and the UK, including roles as Head Sommelier at Heston Blumenthal’s three-Michelin-starred The Fat Duck, Wine Director at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in Knightsbridge, Krug Ambassador and judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards and IWSC. In 2017, Stefan became a Master Sommelier – one of just 239 individuals worldwide at the time – and has worked with Fells as a Wine Consultant since 2021.
With Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli, Ratti Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata, Grattamacco Bolgheri Superiore and Tedeschi Amarone Capitel Monte Olmi among the wines being poured, this is a genuinely rare chance to taste at the highest level of Italian wine in the company of an exceptional expert.
