What we’re drinking this week: Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black. 🍷
This week we’re pouring something a little darker and bolder. This rich, full-bodied South African red is all about intensity. Expect layers of ripe blackberries, plum and cassis, with hints of dark chocolate, spice and toasted oak. The palate is smooth and concentrated with velvety tannins and a long, warming finish - perfect for these cool, not-quite-spring-yet evenings.
A brilliant match for slow-cooked beef, braised short ribs, or a rich mushroom and lentil stew, the depth of this wine stands up beautifully to hearty, savoury dishes.

Well, what a night to remember 🔥
On Saturday, we proudly opened our doors for the launch of The Tasting Room Cigar Series, a truly landmark evening.
This wasn’t just an event. It marked something special - the only dedicated cigar lounge between Canary Wharf and Colchester, created for those who appreciate a great cigar.
Hosted by cigar legends Jerry Mir and Alfonso Sherzi of @torcigars, we welcomed a room full of guests united by a passion for fine cigars, perfectly paired drinks, and a relaxed, refined setting.
We were also honoured to have the UK’s leading cigar blogger, @ldncigarsmoker, with us; a true supporter of the community and what we’re building here.
This is more than a launch; it’s the beginning of something unique in Essex.
