Who says you need to look abroad for brilliant wines? Last night`s Crouch Valley Wine Tasting was a brilliant reminder of just how much incredible wine we have being produced right here on our doorstep. 🍷
From crisp sparkling wines to elegant reds, every wine at last night`s tasting was paired with a carefully chosen British cheese, chutney and cracker to bring out the very best in each glass. Safe to say, there were plenty of happy taste buds around the room!
The three standout favourites of the evening were:
🥂 @martinslanevyd Blanc de Blanc: fresh, vibrant and beautifully elegant, with delicate citrus and brioche notes that made it a perfect match for the creamy Wigmore cheese.
🍇 @hollands_crouchvalleywine Petit Chardonnay: Bright orchard fruit balanced by gentle oak and a lovely freshness, beautifully complemented by the sweet and tangy Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberry.
🍷 @danburyridgewine Pinot Noir: Silky, refined and packed with red berry fruit and subtle spice, pairing wonderfully with the rich, nutty crunch of Red Fox Red Leicester.
